Steve Payne

Steve Payne is an internationally acclaimed guitar player/singer/songwriter who remains largely an enigma to most people in the music world, and he has been described as one of the UK's finest guitarists.

His unique talents have earned him a reputation and many admirers, leading him to play with the likes of BB King, Loudon Wainwright III, Dr John, Paul Butterfield and more recently Mississippi John L Watson. He's also supported Van Morrison, Paul Brady & Dr Feelgood.

Due to commitments touring the US States, Canada and Europe in various bands and formations, his presence at The R.M.A. will be something very special. Steve's ability to take a song and improvise, gives you the feeling that you've just heard something different and it is this that makes his contribution to any gig something special.

For most of the world, Steve Payne will probably remain an enigma in the shadow of some of the greats he's played with previously mentioned. For the few of us lucky enough to witness his performance in concert, he comes out into the light, and boy does he shine!
